MAW3 is phenomenal, excellently done and great fun. The multiplayer option is good, but there needs to be the ability to add AI players to the multiplayer. Ill make this 5 stars when that feature is a reality. Thanks for the great work!
Dont listen to the guys that say it is bad it is horrible. the controls arent clumsy this is a great game. It actually has 130 units and is worth the money and I dont think that I have a problem with this game I want it to have stuff you can build from scratch and multiple units that you choose the parts and build your own unit it would be a little more fun. But it is totally worth it.
This App is epic! I only wish the maps were bigger. Also, please fix the combat settings for the units. I hate it when my units run off to the otherwise of the world to fight when they are not supposed to move.
If only there were more rts like this. Ive played this one for years now. Still good!
True real time strategy game with excellent touch screen controls. Skirmish mode with AI players is great, unlimited number of possibilities when it comes to map and game types. The only thing that could use some work is the AI players late in the game not wanting to attack and the AI learning to better protect his leader unit on Assassination game mode. Over all, one of the best RTS games Ive played on mobile.
This game is by far the best game ice ever played on ios. It gives Starcraft 2 a run for its money. I played this game on my iPod touch 4g and it didnt lag once. There are so many possibilities, worth the 7 dollars easly. Highly recommend buying itll last you a long time, super fun. Absolutely love it!!!
First off this game is absolutely amazing, this is probably one of the most true to its nature RTS games ever made. You start out with nothing, build up slowly and gain resources, then create factories to create units for anything ranging from bombing raids, to recon, or hide and wait to ambush then enemy, research upgrades, its a full out war and you decide how you fight. I really love the added infantry to the game, it gives it a much more RTS feel with all four unit types. The only thing i would suggest is to have the option to add multiple tiers to the restrictions for a slirmish, because for an infantry one, the enemy usually just spawns a bunch of rocketeers and destroys everything. Thats literally the only flaw i can think of, great work with this game
Now that you guys made the addition of infantry you guys should make an air unit that drops paratroopers. That would be awesome! By the way, I love this game. For so long Ive been searching for a game like this and now I finally found one!
This is the best rats game you can get. Its worth the money
This game is so fun
Machines at War is everything all the other reviews say - well-balanced, deep, immaculately crafted, with great controls and years of playablility. It is absolutely, positively worth the money. If you loved C&C, this is even better. Its also one of those rare games that transcends being a piece of entertainment, and is able to do something more. Games like Braid, Okami, Bastion. Heres just one example: As you play, building and building the music keeps time, crescendoing and pushing your pulse along. Finally, you develop an ICBM. First. You build, arm, and launch. And in flight, you notice that the music has changed. Its pastoral, everyday. It makes you think of everyday people, going about their everyday lives in relative peaces. Thats where your screen-shaking missle falls. Ive never played *any* shooter-type game that manages to balance playability and fun with a sense of gravitas, to keep a foot in the real world. Machines at War pulls it off. Its a great strategy war game, wonderful to play, yet just grounded enough to remind us that actual war is a terrible place. Beautiful. Masterful. Art.
I have spent too many hours playing this great game. Never gets old. Thanks to the developer for all the hard work, imagination, and love that went into the making of this gem!! Sound effects are awesome, too, try playing with headphones on.
Im surprised that this is the only real RTS game on the App Store to play. I couldnt find command and conquer Tiberium wars for the iPad so this game is somewhat close to it. Sadly this game has not been updated since October 2013 so I doubt that they will even fix the online multiplayer or not label units in the training interface because I have a difficulty time telling the difference between a land factory and an infantry factory since they almost look cosmetically same. Please Isotope Devs label the units on the training interface so I do not end up picking the wrong building
Build defense, get one ore mine. Bunch of planes. You win. Other team barely tries, a couple air raids but some defense will slaughter them and then its cake. You need hangars for planes!! Its ridiculous that I have to send my planes to the corner of the map so they dont fly around like idiots. Makes this game pointless.
I dont play a lot of games on my iPhone, but u recently purchased an iPhone 6 Plus and thought wouldnt it be cool if there is a Starcraft game for iOS, google it and found Machines at War. It was worth the money and delivers on everything it says. Just wow.
Why cant there be more games like this on the App Store? Awesome fun!
I love the game! The only problem is the app doesnt load on iPad 2s, which is quite disappointing ( I was excited to use the larger screen.) Should be 5/5, but until full device compatibility is included in a patch newer than 2013, it can no longer claim the legitimacy of its former title as the best formulated RTS title (with multiplayer nonetheless!) on the IOS platform.
First, I will say that LASW, Machines at Wars predecessor is my favorite game on the entire app store, and I have played a ton of games. While it doesnt offer much more interns of gameplay from LASW, it still is a fantastic addition to the series. I love the addition of the single player campaign, over 50 new units, and multiplayer. It is difficult to find a match sometimes but I enjoy playing with my brother over local wifi. Many hours have been put into the first game and I am looking forward to putting the same amount into this one. The only other downside is the lack of autobuild, which keeps your empire running when things get pretty hectic. Still, this only means you have to manage more, which makes the game more challenging. I would say five dollars is definitely reasonable for a game like this, and I am looking forward to the next game that Isotope 244 puts out.
This is my favorite game on the App Store, no other game is as good as this one, job well done
